those ferals

Those Ferals are Lindsay Pierce & Lori van Voorhis. Lindsay & Lori first performed together as bloodthirsty anthropomorphic trees in an outdoor play at a farmer's market in East Atlanta in 2011. Their creative connection sparked a collaboration that has brought experiences to life as varied as a guerrilla narrative art party called based on Eastern European folklore taking place in a public park incorporating circus, dance, & fire (that somehow they were not arrested for) in 2012; a second guerrilla narrative art party based on the myth of Scylla & Charybdis including a giant sea monster puppet, a life-sized wooden whale skeleton & many performers (again, they remained blissfully un-arrested) in 2013; & finally a beautiful dinner party hosted by Demeter to welcome her daughter Persephone home for the springtime full of dance & gorgeous costuming (& obviously rife with family drama) in 2019.

We are deeply committed to the exploration of wild places & discovering how our humanity expands when unconfined by conventional spaces.

In physics, the observer effect informs us that the mere act of looking at something will change it. We seek to turn that on its head. Can the thing being observed change the viewer? Will wildness follow them, haunting their peripheral vision?

What is that thing that is just out of sight?

Currently Those Ferals are returning to the tales of Baba Yaga. Stay tuned.

Here is a link to information about our last event Persephone Rising. New name, same us.

Our Instagram is full of mischief.
